After a rough first inning, in which Samardzija gave up two earned runs, he shut down the Twins the rest of the way and recorded his fourth victory. Samardzija went eight innings, scattering three hits and striking out nine in the White Sox 3-2 victory.
Fantasy Impact:
Samardzija is starting to show why the White Sox dealt for him in the off season. His high K/9 rate, coupled with his ability to pitch deep in games equates to fantasy gold. Stick with Samardzija as a high end SP #2.
