Brett Anderson pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs on seven hits. He walked two and struck out three. 60-of-100 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Anderson has not allowed more than three earned runs since April 21, a stretch of six starts. On the season, he's compiled a 3.47 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and has struck out 34 batters in 49.1 innings. Anderson hasn't pitched more than 100 innings since 2010 so it's going to be tough to trust him all season long. He's locating his fastball and keeping hitters off-balance with his curveball. Utilize him while he's healthy and playing. He won't rack up too many strikeouts but can help in ERA and wins.
