Pablo Sandoval to give up switch hitting?

by John Aubin | Tue, May 26th 8:22am EDT

Manager John Farrell said there have been discussions "off and on" with Pablo Sandoval about the idea of giving up on switch-hitting, the Boston Globe reports. The third baseman is hitting .049 (2-for-41) batting right-handed this season. (Boston Globe)

Fantasy Impact:

The decision will be up to Pablo Sandoval if he wants to hit from the left side and drop switch hitting. It may be in his best interest as he has hit .172 right-handed since the start of 2014. If he does make this move it should increase his production from the plate and make his fantasy value go up.
