Jered Weaver allowed seven earned runs on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings against the Yankees on Friday. He also struckout two in the outing.
Fantasy Impact:
Five of the seven runs came off of three homers, including two to the light-hitting Stephen Drew. Weaver was never able to get comfortable in the game, allowing runs in the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th innings before taking his exit. Weaver is more name than ability at this point, as his skills have deteriorated in each of the last five seasons, and his K/9 this year is at a pitiful 4.72.
