Pablo Lopez pitched seven shutout innings on Thursday against the Cardinals, allowing just three hits while striking out 10. He earned the win, moving to 2-0.
Fantasy Impact:
You can't find enough superlatives to describe Lopez's performance this year, as he lowered his now league-leading ERA to 0.52. He had 15 whiffs on Thursday with a 35% CSW rate, and looked to still be getting stronger even as his pitch count grew, as he struck out three of the last four batters he faced. The shoulder troubles that plagued him last year appear to be a thing of the past, and he's pitching with confidence and as well as he ever has. He's a must-start option going forward, including in his next start against the Nationals.
