Padres relief pitcher Pierce Johnson is headed to the 10-day IL with elbow tendinitis, according to The Athletic's Dennis Lin. Ray Kerr is taking his place on the active roster. (The Athletic)
Fantasy Impact:
Johnson had been very active and mostly sharp this season for San Diego. He had posted five shutout appearances sandwiched around one blowup game against the Atlanta Braves last Friday. His five holds ranked second in all the majors behind only Milwaukee's Devin Williams.
