Shane McClanahan allows two runs in win over Red Sox on Sunday

by Dan Harris | Rays Correspondent | Sun, Apr 24th 6:23pm EDT

Shane McClanahan allowed two runs on six hits over seven innings on Sunday against the Red Sox. He struck out seven and earned the win, moving to 1-1.

Fantasy Impact:

McClanahan was outstanding yet again, with 21 whiffs on 86 pitches and a 38% CSW rate. He gave up four hits on his first nine pitches before retiring 20 of the last 22 hitters. You cannot possibly find holes in McClanahan's game right now. He has a 31:5 K:BB ratio, has struck out no fewer than seven batters in any start this year, and has gone at least six innings in back to back starts. He'll take on the Twins in his next outing where he's obviously a must-start option.
