Nathan Eovaldi allows two homers Monday to Bluejays

by Kyle Williams | Rangers Correspondent | Tue, Apr 26th 7:07am EDT

Boston Redsox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi pitched 7.0 innings allowing two earned runs, two home runs, and struck out five during Monday's loss to the Jays 6-2.

Fantasy Impact:

Eovaldi had a strong outing but continues to deal with struggles allowing the deep ball. Last season, the starter allowed an 8% home run rate on fastballs but is up to a whopping 31% this season. Despite the long bombs, Eovaldi has pitched four games going 1-0, pitching 21.2 innings, striking out 24, and allowing a 3.32 ERA. He should continue to anchor the Redsox staff this season.
