Pablo Lopez pitched six shutout innings against the Nationals on Wednesday, giving up just one hit and a walk. He struck out six and earned the win, moving to 3-0.
Fantasy Impact:
Lopez took back the ERA crown from Logan Gilbert with his six shutout innings, lowering his ERA to a silly 0.39. Lopez didn't even have his best stuff against the Nationals, as he got just nine whiffs and had a respectable, but not dominant, 30% CSW rate. Instead, he just induced plenty of ground balls and weak contact, allowing just two hard-hit balls all night. There will be regression at some point but if you were wondering what a true breakout looks like, Lopez is showing you. He will take on the Diamondbacks next.
