Cleveland Guardians right-hander Zach Plesac struggled in a 9-5 loss to the Angels on Wednesday. Plesac allowed seven runs (six earned) over 3 2/3 innings of work while striking out two and walking two.
Fantasy Impact:
Plesac got off to a shaky start, allowing two runs in the first inning. He compounded the problem by allowing Taylor Ward to hit a grand slam in the second. Plesac had been pitching well in 2022 up until Wednesday's loss. He now has a 1-2 record, 3.80 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 12 strikeouts in 21 1/3 innings of work. He will look to bounce back next time out when he goes up against the Padres on Tuesday.
