On Saturday, the Seattle Mariners placed Mitch Haniger on the 10-day IL with a high ankle sprain. (Ryan Divish on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The 31-year-old outfielder had just returned from the Covid IL and suffered a high ankle sprain in after singling in his first at bat. Haniger has only gotten 35 at-bats so far and has three home runs and a slash line of .200/.222/.708. Fantasy managers should plan on needing a fill-in for longer than the ten days as high ankle sprains can be nagging injuries. Those who roster Julio Rodriguez and Jarred Kelenic can rest knowing both are going to have plenty of playing time going forward. Seattle recalled outfielder Stuart Fairchild from Triple-A Tacoma.
