Anthony Bender allowed two hits and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning on Saturday against the Mariners, earning his sixth save of the year.
Fantasy Impact:
It's not always pretty with Bender, but he gets the job done nearly every time out. His two strikeouts were a bit of an anomaly, as he has struck out just 6.48 batters per nine innings thus far. But his groundball tendency and ability to pound the strike zone have allowed him to have success in the ninth-inning role, and he shows no signs of giving the job up at the moment.
