Cleveland Guardians right-hander Zach Plesac allowed five runs (four earned) over five innings of work in a 5-4 loss to the Padres in Game 1 of a Wednesday doubleheader.

Fantasy Impact:

Plesac struck out four and walked four while seeing his record fall to 1-3. The 27-year-old struggled with his control in the outing, throwing just 52 of 88 pitches for strikes wth the big blow coming in the form of a Manny Machado two-run homer in the third inning. Plesac will take a 4.44 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and 16 strikeouts into his next start.
