Zach Plesac struggles against White Sox Monday

by Matthew Terelle | Angels Correspondent | Tue, May 10th 5:11am EDT

Cleveland Guardians right-hander Zach Plesac struggled in a 12-9 win over the White Sox on Monday. Plesac allowed five runs (four earned) over 6 1/3 innings of work while striking out four and walking two.

Fantasy Impact:

Plesac got off to a rough start, allowing four runs in the first inning. He calmed down after that, giving up just one more unearned run in the seventh. He seemed destined to take the loss before a game-tying grand slam in the ninth inning got him off the hook. Plesac now has a 1-3 record, 4.68 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 20 strikeouts over 32 2/3 innings of work. He's lined up to face the Twins on Sunday.
