Trevor Stephan picks up save Monday
by Matthew Adam | Guardians Correspondent | Tue, May 10th 5:17am EDT
Cleveland Guardians right-hander Trevor Stephan threw a scoreless 11th inning to preserve a 12-9 win over the White Sox on Monday. Stephan struck out two in the frame and did not allow a hit.
Fantasy Impact:
Stephan picked up just the second save of his career with normal closer Emmanuel Clase having already pitched in the 10th inning. The 26-year-old reliever has been excellent for Cleveland this season, posting a 2-0 record, 1.35 ERA, 0.68 WHIP, and 15 strikeouts over 13 1/3 innings of work.
