2B Nick Madrigal has been placed on the 10-day IL with low back tightness. INF Ildemaro Vargas has been selected from AAA Iowa. (Chicago Cubs on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
It is unknown how long Madrigal will be out or what the severity of the injury is. Vargas and Jonathan Villar are the most likely candidates to man 2B in the meantime.
