Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi underwent successful surgery to repair his torn ACL last week. He is recovering in Kansas City. (MLB)

Mondesi sadly tore his ACL scrambling to get back to first base on a pick-off attempt a couple of weeks ago. The talented speedster just cannot catch a break, as he has only been able to play more than 75 games once in his seven-year career. He was the odds on favorite this year to lead the majors in stolen bases. His injury certainly left fantasy managers scrambling to find some speed.
