Per Jeff Jones on Twitter, the Cardinals have scratched Jordan Hicks and moved Steven Matz’s scheduled start to today against Baltimore. (@jmjones)

It sounds like this move was to get Jordan Hicks an extra day of rest and to prevent Steven Matz from facing San Francisco in back to back starts. Matz allowed eight earned runs in that start against the Giants, so the move makes sense for the Cardinals to put him in a more favorable matchup. Even with the favorable matchup today, Matz has a 7.01 ERA this season and should not be on your roster.
