Chris Bassitt strikes out eight in no-decision on Saturday

by Dan Harris | Blue Jays Correspondent | Sun, May 15th 10:19am EDT

Chris Bassitt allowed one run on five hits and three walks over 5 2/3 innings on Saturday against the Mariners. He struck out eight and did not factor into the decision.

Fantasy Impact:

Bassitt was shaky to begin the game, loading the bases on two walks an a HBP in the first inning, but settled down after that. He had a 32% CSW rate in the start and allowed only three hard-hit balls, and was rarely in trouble after the first. Bassitt has now allowed one or fewer runs in five of his seven starts, and looks destined for the best year of his career. He will take on the Cardinals in his next start.
