Luis Severino strikes out seven in quality start Monday

Luis Severino pitched six innings Monday, allowing one run on one hit and two walks while striking out seven in the Yankees' 6-2 win.

Luis Severino's only hiccup came in the 4th inning when Anthony Santander took him deep for a solo home run. Luis Severino improved to 3-0 on the season and 2-0 against Baltimore. Monday marked Severino's first quality start of 2022 and he now has 38 strikeouts in 34 2/3 innings. Severino's next start is scheduled for Saturday at home against the White Sox.
