Framber Valdez strong outing vs. Rangers earns third win

by Kendall Capps | Astros Correspondent | Thu, May 19th 11:42pm EDT

Astros starter Framber Valdez was strong once again Thursday, this time shutting down the Texas Rangers. He pitched seven innings, allowing just one run on six hits and two walks, striking out seven.

Fantasy Impact:

Valdez improved to 3-2 on the season, but that stat does not tell his story this season. The Astros' lefty has a 2.68 ERA through his first seven starts, and that includes one where he was charged with six runs. Since then, Valdez has allowed just seven runs over 33 innings. He should be in line for a middle-of-the-rotation place for fantasy managers all season long.
