Sandy Alcantara goes the distance Sunday afternoon

by Nate Miller | Marlins Correspondent | Sun, May 22nd 5:36pm EDT

Sandy Alcantara turned in a complete game in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Braves, allowing three runs (zero earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out seven across nine innings.

Fantasy Impact:

If it were not for some defensive lapses by the Marlins, Alcantara may well have delivered a shutout Sunday afternoon. The 26-year-old workhorse has been in a serious groove over his last three outings, posting a very impressive 0.75 ERA, 0.71 WHIP, and 18-to-6 K/BB ratio across 24 innings. Acantara should see the Braves once again this upcoming Saturday.
