Zack Greinke pitched 3 2/3 innings, allowing seven runs on five hits and four walks while striking out five in Kansas City's 9-5 loss in Arizona on Monday.

Zack Greinke put up his worst performance of the year against his former team on Monday, His failure to make it out of the 4th inning marked his shortest outing of the year and only second time he hasn't reached five innings. The seven earned runs was a season high, matching his total allowed the entire month of April, and raising his ERA from 3.48 top 4.53 overnight. Greinke falls to 0-3 and is still searching for his first win since August 13, 2021. He will look to shake this outing off and get back on track in his next start, Sunday in Minnesota.
