Kevin Gausman tosses six shutout innings on Tuesday against Cardinals

Kevin Gausman allowed four hits and two walks over six shutout innings on Tuesday against the Cardinals. He struck out eight and earned the win, moving to 4-3.
Fantasy Impact:
Just more of the same for Gausman, who had an incredible 23 whiffs overall and a 50% whiff rate on his splitter. His 2.25 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with a 10.45 K/9 rate are supremely impressive, and his two walks in the game brought his season total to a mere five. Gausman is pitching like a true ace and is averaging more than six innings per start, and should be valued as a borderline top-five starter. He will take on the White Sox in his next outing.
