Astros reliever Rafael Montero tossed a scoreless 9th inning, closing the door on the Guardians for a 7-3 win.
Houston's closer Ryan Pressly got the night off, with it being a non-save situation. Once again, Montero showed why he is potentially the most valuable set-up man in baseball. He lowered his ERA to 0.51, with a 0.91 WHIP, 20 K's in 17 2/3 innings, five holds and three saves. If anything were to happen to Pressly, Montero immediately becomes a top-10 closer.
