Andrew Chafin picks up Wednesday save
by Matthew Adam | Tigers Correspondent | Wed, May 25th 6:44pm EDT
Detroit Tigers left-hander Andrew Chafin got the final two outs of a 4-2 win over the Twins to earn a save on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Chafin took over for Michael Fulmer, who started the inning but loaded the bases thanks to a single and an error. Chafin came on and got the last two outs to save the game. The lefty has appeared in 13 games in 2022, compiling a 0-1 record, 2.70 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 12 strikeouts over 10 innings of work. Gregory Soto remains Detroit's preferred closer, but he was unavailable after getting four outs in the eighth and ninth innings.
