Fantasy Impact:

It was Pearson's first pitches against live batters this year and he allowed one earned run with a walk and a strikeout over 1.2 innings. It was a positive progression for the 25-year-old pitcher as he threw 30 pitches (18 for strikes), topping out at 97 MPH on his fastball. Pearson will continue his rehab after an absence with an illness and should return to the Jays lineup by mid-June in an anticipated multi-inning, bullpen role.
