MJ Melendez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Kansas City's 10-7 loss in Minnesota on Friday.

MJ Melendez hit a 9th inning bomb to centerfield on Friday night in Kansas City's loss. The homer was his fourth of the year in just 65 at-bats and the young catcher is carrying an .811 OPS since being called up to replace the injured Salvador Perez. Even with Salvy's return imminent, Melendez is a big part of the Kansas City's future plans and should continue to see plenty of at-bats once Perez is back. Melendez is a solid bat that is currently hitting, something Kansas City's offense cannot afford to just put on the bench.
