Sandy Alcantara completely stifled the Braves in Saturday's 4-1 victory, allowing one run on four hits and no walks while racking up 14 strikeouts across eight innings.
Alcantara proved himself a bona fide ace once again Saturday night. The 26-year-old righty is in a serious groove of late, as he has surrendered only three earned runs over his last 32 innings. In that stretch, Alcantara has posted a 0.66 WHIP and 27.4-percent strikeout rate. He will look to keep it going Thursday against the Giants.
