David Freese not able to go on Wednesday

by Jamison Malasko | Thu, Jun 11th 8:43am EDT

Angels third baseman David Freese was out of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays. Freese was forced to leave Tuesday's game due to tightness in his hamstring and he was given the day off on Wednesday. He did pinch hit for Kyle Kubitza but struck out in his only at bat. Freese had owned a 12-game hitting streak and is hitting .238 on the season with 9 home runs and 32 RBI.

Fantasy Impact:

The good news is the hamstring injury isn't serious and yesterday was used as a rest day for Freese. The bad news is a 12 game hitting streak was snapped on a pinch hit at bat. Freese has been swinging a good bat lately so lets hope this hamstring injury doesn't get worse.
