Andrew Kittredge blows third save of 2022

by Andersen Pickard | Cardinals Correspondent | Wed, Jun 8th 9:02am EDT

Rays reliever Andrew Kittredge was tasked with preserving a 1-0 lead in the eighth inning of Tuesday's game against the Cardinals. However, he did not convert, instead allowing one run on two hits, a walk, and a strikeout. Kittredge was charged with the blown save, though Tampa Bay ultimately defeated St. Louis by a score of 4-2 in 10 innings.

Fantasy Impact:

This was Kittredge's third blown save of the season; he's now 5-for-8 during save situations. Through 20 innings of work, the right-hander owns a 3.15 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, and .205 OBA. His 6.30 K/9 isn't much to get excited about, but on the other hand, his 0.90 BB/9 is quite impressive. Kittredge is still a solid waiver wire option in most fantasy leagues given his established role as Tampa Bay's closer.
