Rays catcher Francisco Mejia went 0-for-3 with a strikeout against the Cardinals on Tuesday evening. Tampa Bay ultimately defeated St. Louis by a score of 4-2 in 10 innings.
Fantasy Impact:
Mejia is slashing .225/.232/.363 with two homers, 13 RBI, one walk, and 22 strikeouts this season. The backstop is on the border between backup and platoon status, but regardless of his role, he hasn't done nearly enough to generate any fantasy relevance.
