Kyle Wright pitches well in win on Sunday

by Devon Bruce | Royals Correspondent | Sun, Jun 12th 9:37pm EDT

Kyle Wright pitched six innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts during Atlanta's win over Pittsburgh on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

All of the damage done to Wright was induced by Bryan Reynolds who scored Diego Castillo on a sacrifice fly in the third inning and then popped a home run in the top of the fifth. His fastball touched a maximum of 97 mph today and he produced 12 swinging strikes over six innings of work. Impressively the young hurler has only allowed more than three earned runs once in his 12 starts this season and the win pushes his record to 7-3 with a 2.57 ERA with 80 strikeouts over 73.2 innings. His next scheduled start is a road matchup with the Cubs on Saturday.
