Chirs Davis goes off against the Yankees

by James McGowan | Fri, Jun 12th 11:16pm EDT

On Friday, the Baltimore Orioles crushed the New York Yankees 11-3. In the game, Chris Davis went 3-5, with a home run, and four RBI. Davis was one of the nine starters for the O's that contributed with a hit.

Fantasy Impact:

The home run was Davis's twelfth of the season, and his first in six games. Through 58 games Davis is hitting .222, with 33 RBI, and has an OPS .769. Davis has been hot and cold this season, he has had a hard time keeping his average up and hasn't been a consistent threat at the plate. But this game could be something huge for Davis, this performance could lead to more confidence at the plate and more production. Davis has been up and down as of late but if he can figure it out, he will be able to salvage the rest of his season. If his offense picks up then he would be a great everyday player, that could bring plenty of offense to any team that is lacking it. But as of right now, you would only want to use Davis if the match-up favors him that way you can get the most out of him. It'll be interesting to see what this game will do for Davis, and for the Orioles who look to make up ground in the AL East.
