Zac Gallen lasted six innings on the mound Tuesday, allowing two runs on five hits while also walking three and striking out 11 in the Diamondbacks' 3-2 loss to the Padres.

Gallen has allowed less than three runs in three of four starts on the mound this month for the Diamondbacks, posting a 1.26 WHIP and 4.35 ERA to go along with a 3.14 K/BB ratio in that span. The right-hander has been a victim of poor run support for most of the season, carrying a 3.17 RS/9 ratio to go along with a 9.00 K/9 ratio, 2.92 ERA, and 1.01 WHIP in 13 starts (4-2) on the mound this season.
