Nick Ahmed to miss remainder of the season

Nick Ahmed underwent shoulder surgery on Wednesday and will miss the remainder of the season. He was dealing with a labrum tear and two bone spurs. The team hopes that with a six-month recovery timeframe he should have a normal build-up prior to spring training. (AZCentral.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Ahmed played in just 17 games this season slashing .231/.259/.442 with three home runs and seven RBIs. His season was hampered by the should injury suffered in early April. Ahmed is safe to drop in all formats.
