by Andersen Pickard | Rays Correspondent | Thu, Jun 23rd 8:47am EDT

Rays starter Shane Baz allowed one run, four hits, and two walks over 4 2/3 innings of work against the Yankees on Wednesday evening. He also struck out six batters but didn't factor into the final decision. Tampa Bay ultimately fell to New York by a score of 5-4.

Fantasy Impact:

His lone earned run came on a homer by Aaron Judge, who now leads the league with 27 dingers. Baz is 0-1 with a 4.15 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and .191 OBA through three starts this season. After a tricky 2022 debut, he has looked much better over his last two games, allowing just one earned run, six hits, and two walks while striking out 13 batters over 10 2/3 innings. The 23-year-old right-hander has touched 100 mph with his fastball, which also generates an impressive 2,414 rpm of spin (90th percentile).
