Zach Plesac takes hard-luck loss Thursday

by Matthew Adam | Angels Correspondent | Thu, Jun 23rd 5:35pm EDT

Zach Plesac pitched well but wound up taking a hard-luck loss against the Twins on Thursday. Plesac allowed one run on three hits over six innings of work while striking out six and walking two. Minnesota went on to win 1-0.

Fantasy Impact:

Plesac allowed a solo homer to Nick Gordon in the third inning, which would end up being the only run in the game. The 27-year-old wound up chalking up 13 swinging strikes but it wasn't enough as his record fell to 2-5. Plesac has been pitching well of late, posting a 3.76 ERA over his past seven starts. He will get a rematch with the Twins in his next outing, which is scheduled for Tuesday.
