Luis Severino strikes out seven in loss to Astros Friday

Luis Severino pitched six innings, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out seven in Friday’s 3-1 loss to the Astros.
Fantasy Impact:
Severino riled through the first three innings with relative sad before having to escape multi-runner jams in the 4th and 5th. He couldn’t escape the third jam however and coughed up a 3-run homer to Kyle Tucker in the 6th inning and that was enough offense for Justin Verlander. Severino lost for just the second time in 13 starts but is also just 1-2 in his last five. He carries a 3.38 ERA and has 87 strikeouts in 72 innings this season. Severino’s next start is slated for Wednesday against the Athletics.
