Padres closer Taylor Rogers earned his 22nd save of the season in a 1-0 win over the Phillies Friday. However, it did not come easy.
Rogers allowed two hits and a walk, needing 29 pitches to finish off the Phils. After striking out J.T. Realmuto to start the 9th, he allowed two straight singles. Johan Camargo then lined out, but the righty then walked Yairo Munoz to load the bases. Despite the bottom of the order getting to him, Rogers settled down to retire Kyle Schwarber to end the game. Rogers has had some shaky outings lately, but continues to rack up the saves.
