Rays third baseman Yandy Diaz went 0-for-4 against the Pirates on Friday evening. He struck out once in the contest. Tampa Bay ultimately defeated by a score of 4-3 in 10 innings.

Diaz is slashing .258/.380/.335 with three homers, 15 RBI, 38 walks, and 28 strikeouts. After a strong start to the season, he has taken a step back, going 14-for-75 (.187) with five walks and 16 strikeouts over the course of his last 14 games. Of course, he still ranks among the league leaders in strikeout, walk, whiff, and chase rates.
