Cole Irvin pitched 5 1/3 innings on Friday, striking out four, walking two, and giving up seven hits for three earned runs as he took the loss to the Royals in a 3-1 game.
Fantasy Impact:
Irvin's loss Friday was his fifth of the season as he now maintains a record of 2-5 and is pitching with an ERA of 3.29. The A's starting pitcher is also not striking out many as he has only struck out 47 over 68 1/3 innings pitched. The 28 year olds next start will come against the Yankees on Wednesday June 29th and he should not be started for that contest.
