Shane Bieber allowed three runs on six hits over seven innings of work in a 4-2 loss to the Red Sox on Saturday. Bieber struck out four and walked two while taking his fourth loss of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Bieber was cruising until he gave up a three-run homer to Alex Verdugo in the sixth inning. The ace right-hander didn't have his best stuff as he logged only eight swinging strikes and got just four strikeouts, well below his norm. Bieber now has a 3-4 record, 3.07 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and 88 strikeouts over 85 innings of work. His next start is scheduled to come against the Twins on Thursday.
