Chris Bassitt earns the win against Marlins on Saturday

by Dan Harris | Blue Jays Correspondent | Sat, Jun 25th 11:41pm EDT

Chris Bassitt allowed three runs on six hits over seven innings on Saturday against the Marlins. He struck out five and earned the win, moving to 6-5.

Fantasy Impact:

For the second straight outing, Bassitt held the Marlins in check, and he needed just 90 pitches to get through his seven innings. He generated just seven whiffs and allowed six hard-hit balls, but the damage against him really came off of two home runs, with the Marlins offering little threat otherwise. Bassitt now has a 4.01 ERA and 1.15 WHIP, and is a viable starter nearly every time out. He'll take on the Rangers next.
