Brady Singer pitches into 9th inning in loss Sunday

Brady Singer pitched 8 1/3 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five in Kansas City’s 5-3 loss to Oakland on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact:
Singer pitched deeper into Sunday’s start than any of his other seven starts this season. Singer falls to 3-3 while carrying a 4.50 ERA and 1.15 WHiP with 49 strikeouts in 54 innings across 11 appearances (8 starts) this season. It’s hard to fault a pitcher who goes into the 9th inning in the modern era but he was unable to hold a lead after the 6th despite manager Mike Matheny’s best efforts to get Singer the win on Sunday. He will take on the Tigers in his next start Friday in Detroit.
