Craig Kimbrel picks up first win of season on Sunday night versus Braves

by Josh Thiessen | Dodgers Correspondent | Mon, Jun 27th 10:04am EDT

Craig Kimbrel pitched one inning on Sunday, striking out two, walking one, and giving up one hit for zero earned runs as he took the win in the Dodgers' 5-3 extra innings win over the Braves.

Fantasy Impact:

Kimbrel came up clutch on Sunday as he got himself out of a jam with two runners on base and a tie game in the 10th inning, the win moves his record to 1-3 on the season. The Dodgers star reliever is pitching to the tune of a 4.13 ERA and a 1.54 WHIP which are both below average numbers. The 34 year old should still be rostered despite his not being in the form he has flashed in the past where his fastball was over 100mph and is now sitting low 90's. Kimbrel's strikeout rate is fantastic as he is pitching with a K% of 33.6 and he will need to carry this team even more at the backend after the Dodgers lost their other star reliever in Daniel Hudson.
