Triston McKenzie struggles Monday

by Matthew Adam | Guardians Correspondent | Mon, Jun 27th 10:48pm EDT

Triston McKenzie allowed seven runs on eight hits in seven innings of work in an 11-1 loss to the Twins on Monday. McKenzie took the loss while striking out seven and walking one.

Fantasy Impact:

McKenzie has not been good over his past two starts, allowing a combined 13 runs in 10 1/3 innings of work. He gave up two homers in the loss, giving him 10 allowed in the month of June. The 24-year-old did manage to pick up 15 swinging strikes and a respectable number of strikeouts, but fantasy gamers will want to see him do a better job of keeping the ball in the park. McKenzie will take a 4-6 record, 4.03 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, and 73 strikeouts into his next start, which is scheduled for Saturday against the Yankees.
