by Matthew Adam | Angels Correspondent | Tue, Jun 28th 4:43pm EDT

Zach Plesac pitched well in a 3-2 win over the Twins in Game 1 of a Tuesday doubleheader. Plesac tossed six shutout innings, allowing three hits, striking out seven, and walking three. Plesac had to settle for a no-decision in the outing.

Fantasy Impact:

Plesac was dealing on Tuesday, notching an impressive 17 swinging strikes on 95 pitches. The 27-year-old has come on strong after a rough start to the season, having allowed just seven earned runs over five starts in June. Overall, Plesac has a 2-5 record, 3.86 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and 57 strikeouts over 79 1/3 innings of work. He is lined up to face off against the Yankees on Sunday for his next start. That will be a tough spot to trust him in for fantasy but Plesac has earned the benefit of the doubt after his strong month of June.
