Braxton Garrett worked 4 2/3 innings in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Cardinals, giving up five runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out five.
Garrett continues to display great swing-and-miss stuff, as he has posted a strong 15.7-percent swinging-strike rate while racking up 12 punchouts across 9 1/3 innings in his last two starts. He has also allowed six earned runs and 16 hits in that span. The 24-year-old lefty is showing some promise for the future, but, right now, he holds little redraft relevance. Garrett is in line to return to the mound Monday in D.C.
