Clay Holmes picks up 13th save Tuesday vs Oakland

by Luke Monaldo | Yankees Correspondent | Wed, Jun 29th 5:10am EDT

Clay Holmes pitched one inning, allowing one run (unearned) on two hits and no walks while striking out two in New York’s 2-1 victory over Oakland on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Holmes has successfully converted 13 of 14 save opportunities this season and his ERA sits at a microscopic 0.50 in 35 2/3 innings across 34 appearances. Holmes has been a relegation this season and has earned Aaron Boone’s trust in high leverage situations. He will maintain his relevance, both for real and for fantasy purposes, even with the imminent return of Aroldis Chapman.
